About Us
About Us
No Latency is an independent editorial publication examining how technology, games, artificial intelligence and software businesses shape the modern digital economy.
We publish long-form analysis on the systems, incentives and design choices that sit beneath today’s most influential platforms. Our focus is not on breaking news, but on understanding why certain models succeed, how power and profit are structured, and what these systems mean for culture, behaviour and society.
Our writing explores subjects such as:
- AI and the changing nature of creativity and work
- The economics and ethics of digital monetisation
- Games as cultural, psychological and commercial systems
- Regulation, power and competition in technology markets
- Interfaces, platforms and the shaping of attention
No Latency is deliberately editorial rather than reactive. We value clarity over speed, analysis over speculation, and ideas that remain relevant beyond the news cycle.
The publication is written for readers who build, invest in, regulate, or think seriously about digital systems – and for anyone interested in how technology is quietly reorganising modern life.
Our Team

Peter Franks – Editor
Peter Franks is the founder and editor of No Latency, a publication focused on long-form analysis of technology, gaming, and artificial intelligence.
He has spent over twenty years working closely with software and games companies across Europe, advising founders, executives, and investors on leadership, strategy, and organisational design. He is also the founder of Neon River, a specialist executive search firm that works with technology and games businesses to hire senior leaders across product, engineering, data, design, and commercial functions.
Through his work with companies ranging from early-stage startups to global technology platforms, Peter has developed a deep, practical understanding of how modern software organisations operate – and how incentives, systems, and culture shape outcomes over time. No Latency was founded to apply that perspective to writing: going beyond headlines and hype to examine why things happen, not just what happens.
No Latency publishes analytical, insight-driven articles that reward careful reading and aim to stand the test of time, drawing on real industry experience rather than speculation or trend-chasing.
Peter holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford and is based in London.
