Submissions Policy
No Latency is an editorial publication focused on long-form analysis of the ideas, systems, and power structures shaping the digital age – across technology, AI, games, software, and the internet.
We welcome thoughtful contributions from writers who bring original perspectives, strong arguments, and a clear point of view.
What we’re looking for
We publish original, long-form articles that explore technology in its broader social, cultural, and economic context. We’re particularly interested in work that:
- Examines how technology shapes behaviour, incentives, and power
- Goes beyond surface-level trends or news coverage
- Is analytical, opinionated, and well-reasoned
- Brings clarity to complex or under-examined topics
Typical subject areas include (but are not limited to):
- Artificial intelligence and automation
- Software platforms and digital infrastructure
- Games, virtual economies, and interactive systems
- The internet, interfaces, and online culture
- Incentives, monetisation, and behavioural design
Preferred length: 1,200–3,000 words
Tone: Intelligent, accessible, and rigorous – not academic, not marketing-led
What we’re not looking for
- News reporting or press releases
- Marketing, promotional, or SEO-driven content
- Sponsored articles or advertorials
- Generic trend summaries without original insight
- AI-generated content submitted without substantial human authorship and editorial intent
How to submit
We prefer pitches first, though completed drafts are also acceptable.
Please email your submission to peter@nolatency.co
Include:
- A brief pitch or summary (2-4 paragraphs is fine), or a link to a draft
- Why the piece is a good fit for No Latency
- A short author bio (2-3 sentences)
Word documents or Google Docs links are preferred for drafts.
Response time
We aim to respond to submissions within 2–4 weeks.
Due to volume, we may not be able to respond to every submission individually.
Payment
At present, No Latency does not offer payment for unsolicited submissions.
Contributor compensation may be introduced in the future as the publication evolves.
Rights
Authors retain copyright to their work.
By publishing with No Latency, authors grant first publication rights and the right for the article to remain archived on the site.
Final note
No Latency is intentionally selective. We care deeply about quality, originality, and clarity of thought. If you have an idea you think fits – even if it’s slightly unconventional – we’d much rather see it than not.
